Delivery
Delivery is via the Royal Mail or a Courier Service. You're item will be posted within 2 days of order and UK delivery will take 2 -3 working days. International Delivery is 7-15 working days.

However please add any urgency in the comment box on shop listing, along with your phone number or email and we will let you know if and how we can speed things up! Alternatively email lizzie@we-resonate.com with any queries.
What packaging do you use?
Each piece, apart from scarves, have their own box, the best place to keep garments when they're not being worn.
​
These 2-piece boxes are made from 99% recycled paper pulp with the un-dyed top layer coming from sustainable forests.They are fully recyclable however we strongly recommend re-using them and keeping them with your dress.
We add ph neutral tissue paper also ​made from 99% recycled pulp fibres, vegan and approx 35% of the electricity used to make this product is produced from renewable sources.

The box is then wrapped in brown paper or put in a reusable eco-jiffy bag for protection during delivery.
How is We-Resonate different?
The value of a locally handmade, unique piece of clothing, made from historic fabrics is a soulful and quality investment.

Each We-Resonate piece has a unique number on it's label, like a limited edition print, but this is an original. With this number we track its history and extend its story into the future. The piece is forever a part of the We-Resonate archive online, showing the date, who brought it and who made it to future owners.

Sustainability to us means zero waste and zero negative impact on humanity and nature. Fashion needs to be circular, worn and looked after. Thats why we offer:
- a garment care service - from washing to repairs.
- alteration/customisation service - when something fits better we wear it more.
- a redesign scheme - not wearing your dress as much as you thought? Lets rework it into something else.
- a buy back scheme - receive 25-50% of purchase price and we'll give your piece a new life. (% based on rental market)

Clothing doesn't make us beautiful, but since we all wear clothes, wouldn't it be nice if it gave us the freedom and energy to feel our own awesome beauty? Thats why our styles are unrestrictive, versatile and individual. We are all connected and we can find comfort in unity/ We are also all different in personality, essence and paths. We can do alterations quickly but this can take time if during a busy period, please let us know the urgency.
I don't know what size I am.
No problem. All the Ready to Wear styles have measurements in the 'Sizing' section of the listing. Please use the measurement chart on the Made for You listings to help measure yourself for the best fit.
​
Styles are all best with a loose fit, for look and also to reduce stress on seams.
​
By choosing a Made for You piece you can select the dress and have it made to your exact size. I then meet with you to take measurements, in the studio or at a convenient location. Alternatively, and for global customers, you can take your own measurements using the guide and/or a Zoom call.

Returns
Imperfections - The fabrics used are mostly over 30 years old, selected for their quality. However, due to their age, small imperfections or colour differences can be seen on the fabrics. We have a tolerance level as we believe these minor imperfections also bring beauty and history to the piece. We can only say, show these pieces care and love (whilst having fun) and they’ll last you many lifetimes.

If you’re not completely happy with your beautiful piece* let us know by email at lizzie@we-resonate.com and you can return it. Just notify us within 14 days of receiving your order and return within that time. Please return it unworn, undamaged, in it's original condition so it can go to a new owner! For garments we will send paid postage for UK returns, for accessories customer is responsible for returned postage and tracking. Tracked international returns are also the responsibility of the customer. Please keep original packaging, this is the responsibility of the customer.

*Made For You - As a Made for You item, you may return the dress for a partial refund or have it adjusted. Just notify us within 14 days of receiving your order. Please return it unworn and in its original condition so it can go to a new owner! Return Postage paid by customer.

I can't find my size?
Each Ready to Wear dress is the only one of that dress made, due to the nature of the sourced silks, including silk scarves. A complete original. For minimum waste the size of the dress is made to the size of the silk sourced and we try to have a range, but this isn't always possible. ​Too big? Use our easy customise service - see customise tab in listing and FAQs.

That's way we started Made for You, where you can select the dress and have it made to your exact size. Hey presto! You can send or have your measurements taken, we'll be in touch after purchase to arrange, however please can in touch before with any questions.

I've torn my dress, what should I do?
Instead of just sitting there, as many of our repair piles do, we offer a repair or refresh service. A repair can be as easy as our hand wash service so please get in touch.
​
There always needs to be a way to keep wearing clothes to be truly sustainable. Thats why we offer buy back schemes, swap options and redesign options as below:
​
1. Alterations (for example make a Maxi dress into a top + lower piece a scarf) this can be a great idea to keep the piece with you! A re-hem + scarf is £40 + P&P.
2. We also have a buy back scheme. In perfect condition 50%, with damage 25% of original cost - this is based on the renting market and can be thought of as the equivalent to renting the piece for an amount of time. Subject to further T&C's.
3. A trade in, this would be on a similar costing as the above.

How are the pieces made?
READY TO WEAR
1. Sourcing.
First I (Lizzie - Founder) seek out the finest vintage collectors in London and when I travel. It's a hands on process to select each silk to feel the quality and learn the stories behind them..
​
2. Placing prints (my favourite part).
Here I see which vintage prints work best together and what mood I want to create. Positioning is important to decide what areas will be at the neckline, hemline and around the body.
​
3. Fabric Preparation.
All silks are hand washed and revived (see garment care tab on how to!) They are so beautiful afterwards. Then I show digital mockups to my seamstress in South London (who runs her own limited company). Sigita is a bespoke seamstress, an expert with silk and attention to detail and who's pay deservingly reflects this. We confirm placements and discuss difficulties per dress...

3. Making.
Using French seams, a small amount of fusing and Sigita's eye for perfection, each panel is cut, sewn and pressed in her studio.
​
4. Measured.
The piece is the measured to determine size, because we make the pieces with minimum waste. The size depends on the size of the vintage silks sourced and patchwork. All off cuts are saved and repurposed, for example in our Headband collaboration with War & Drobe.
​
5. Labelled + Recorded to the Archive.

6. Shop.
We sell mostly direct to customer through our website and via studio visits. Prices do not include wholesale margin as it's important to keep the cost accessible and to create a relationship with the customer for any future queries such as garment care or repair.

MADE FOR YOU DRESSES - same styles of dresses, made to order.
​
These dresses are sold from stage 3, with mock ups of what the dress will look like. I then meet with you to take measurements, in the studio or at a convenient location. Alternatively, and for global customers, you can take your own measurements using the guide and/or a Zoom call.
​
The Made for You Dresses mean you can have any dress in your exact size as well as reducing waste.
​
BESPOKE PIECES
​
You can work with me from any stage you choose. You can choose the exact prints you wish then modify or even create a new style. Designs have included a 2 piece outfit (Slip dress/Kimono & Skirt/Top) and a puffer jacket.
​
SCARVES
​
Most of the silks I source are silk scarves that are calling for a rework due to areas of large to small damage. Others are in perfect condition to be used as scarves. They are simply sold straight from being washed and revived.
​

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa and Mastercard. You can place your order securely on the website. You can also pay for your order using Paypal but please note Paypal takes a higher commission.
